Infant mortality rate worries Kogi
By Boluwa Obahopo LOKOJA—KOGI State Government has described as disturbing the alarming rate of increase of infant mortality in the state. Governor Idris Wada gave the hint at the flag -off of the 2012 maternal and child health week at Ugwolawo, Ofu Local Government Area, yesterday. The governor, who was represented by Deputy Governor Yomi Awoniyi, said the development had prompted his administration to seek for innovative ways aimed at providing strong network of health services to meet the needs of mothers, newborns and children.
