Sporadic gunshots in Damaturu
From TIMOTHY OLA, Maiduguri Business activities were paralysed about two hours on Wednesday in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, following heavy gunshots. Residents said the gunshots lasted almost two hours. The Yobe State Police Public Relations officer, Toyin Gbadegesin, confirmed the incident. Gbadegesin added that a clash between suspected Boko Haram men and security forces led to the shootout, which also grounded activities in the town for about two hours.
